With Christmas just round the corner we’re all starting to focus on indulgence, whether that be in presents or in eating, or more likely…both! Like many Kiwis, perhaps you’re heading away for Christmas, camping or to your bach. It would be really easy to over-indulge and stick two fingers up to exercise, claiming that you’ll get fit in the new year.
The TRX system is becoming very popular in gyms and at home and it can really change your life, especially if you travel a lot on business and don’t much like gyms. Running is all very well but how about building muscle and maintaining tone? TRX is a portable suspension system that uses body-weight to deliver results.
Developed in the USA by navy seals and since adopted by premier athletes across the globe, TRX is scientifically proven to improve total-body strength, stability, and even cardiovascular health.
The whole system packs away in a small bag and can be set up pretty much anywhere. There’s heaps of training videos online to help you develop a training programme. Here’s twenty five exercises to start you off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHHw3tjEho0.
To be honest – the TRX system does look strange and could be taken as some kind of torture set up or strange kink, but the beauty of it is that you can make it as hard or easy as you want. Just starting out? Then change your body angle and reduce the resistance. Want more? Then increase the angles and you’ll have yourself an incredible work-out.
It’s a fact that letting your weight and fitness yo-yo isn’t good for anyone. Maintaining a constant health regime is a really important step in living longer and getting more out of life. Of course you can insure with us for when your health takes a dive, but how about spending time getting and then staying fit? That would be a great option, wouldn’t it?
So, no excuses this summer. If you would love to go into the draw to win a TRX system then drop your FDG Adviser an email asking to placed in the draw and give us your hot tip for staying fit and healthy. One winner will be chosen on December 14th, just in time for Christmas.
